BUD

bud2.jpg
This Bud's for you! Just under two years of age, this orange and white, handsome youngster is sensitive and kind, playful and laid back and just a really good boy. Bud grew up never knowing a home of his own beyond an abandoned car, and yet he STILL believes nothing is better than loving and being loved - how fitting for Valentines Day!

If Bud just shot an arrow through your heart, you can meet this extraordinary kitty at the Just Cats Veterinary Hospital's Adoption Center.

SWEETIE

sweetiejc2.jpg
Three's a charm for this Sweetie! Adopted as a young adult into a home where she was comfortable and loved until the family brought three huge and bounding puppies into her life, Sweetie became overwhelmed and confused, and suddenly found herself an unwelcome member of her family, which wasn't very fair to Sweetie at all!

An absolutely beautiful dilute calico, this pretty six-year-old girl never wants to know another four-legged anything larger than a cat, and in fact, this beauty will make a purr-fect only companion who will quietly and happily, curl up beside you, and purr like a good kitty should. A really deserving girl who has had a few unlucky starts, Sweetie is aching for that one more chance at a long and happy life and Friends of Felines is betting she will find it!

To fall in love with Sweetie, come meet her Monday through Sat at the Just Cats Veterinary Hospital's adoption center, 1029 East Main St. in Stamford.

MS. MOUSEY PURR PURR

msmouseypurrpurr.jpg

Friends of Felines would like you to meet Ms. Mousey Purr Purr, an absolutely adorable black and white Maine Coon mix who has been without a home for at least a year. It's not easy to take a good picture of this kitty because she immediately presses her head against your chest when you open her cage door, and there doesn't seem to be a way to distract her from doing this!

An easy going, friendly and affectionate cat who has been homeless for too long, Ms. Mousey Purr Purr is twelve years of age and front declawed. She got excellent marks from her senior check up and a recent dental. We all want Ms. Purr to have a real home with many years of laps and love.

You can meet this cool kitty, and other cats needing a home, at the brand new Just Cats Adoption Center, 1029 East Main Street in Stamford, Monday through Saturdays from 8am to 5pm.

LOUIE

louie.jpg

Louie is an eight-year-old charming and absolutely adorable tuxedo guy with a somewhat shy, yet very sweet disposition. First abandoned at the age of four, Louie was rescued and given a second chance in what was intended to be his "forever home".

An unforeseen relocation does not allow Louie to accompany his owner and friend, and we don't want Louie to be abandoned again. This adorable and sweet kitty is happy to sit in a window, on a lap, or at the foot of a bed. Please consider sharing your home and your life with Louie, who is most deserving of his one final and happy, forever home.

MOO

moo1.jpg

If you are looking for a young and cute kitty who is unbelievably sweet with a soft personality, look no further than Moo! A gentle cat who, once he gets to know you, will drape himself over your lap like a warm blanket - although Moo is better than a blanket, because blankets don't purr but Moo sure does!

Cruelly abandoned in a wooded area, luckily rescued by FOF, happily fostered by a volunteer, this kitty loves everything and every being. Moo's next step up is a permanent and forever home. Are you lucky enough for Moo's home to be yours?

RHETT & SCARLETT

rhett2.jpg scarlett2.jpg

Meet Rhett, a black and white tuxedo youngster and his sister Scarlet, a softer, more feminine version in gray and white. They may both look all decked out in formal clothing but their behavior sure is silly!

These two purring siblings are funny and smart and each one is hoping to start the New Year out with all four paws in their first and forever home.

CUDDLES

cuddles.jpg

Come meet Cuddles at PetSmart, a silly name for a silly youngster - a beautiful calico kitty who will drape herself around your shoulders and happily purr and knead while precariously balanced as only a cat can be!

An unusually cheerful and loving young cat who doesn't care one bit that she was left behind outside in the cold, Cuddles is just so happy to be back inside, she is grateful, and so deserving, of anyone's attention. Cuddles will warm your home and your heart with her boundless and everlasting love and affection, playfulness and endlessly optimistic outlook on life. Give Cuddles a chance to show you why attitude is everything!

ROSEBUD

rosebud.jpg
Friends of Felines is so pleased to introduce Rosebud, a petite and young, beautiful brown tabby with white on her chest and her dainty paws. But don't let her size fool you - Rosebud did her best to care for her kittens under the most trying circumstances and lived to tell us about it! A good and strong kitty who understands now she will always have food and love forever, this youngster is so sweet and well mannered she turned out to be a pleasant surprise to FOF and the volunteers who have cared for her.

A purr-fect addition to the family who will love her, Rosebud is OK with friendly and well-behaved dogs and other cats, although she could certainly be an only, if you just want one. Rosebud is another Friends of Felines, formerly homeless kitty who will make some lucky family happy for many years to come!

MIDNIGHT

midnight3.jpg

Midnight is a luxuriously medium-haired, extremely handsome kitty, who will follow you around (a great companion), is very athletic (entertaining) and is really smart (if you want someone to talk to)! Midnight is a three-year-old boy who needs to be an only cat. So, if you just want one, Midnight would be purr-fect.

Midnight's family divorced so gave him up and after working through the very painful issue of being abandoned, Midnight has made a vow to be the happiest kitty on the planet, and Friends of Felines loves Midnight because of this. A good and happy boy who deserves a great, forever home because he believes he will find one, we are all cheering for Midnight.

ONYX

onyx.jpg

Friends of Felines is so pleased to introduce Onyx, a sleek, good looking, mostly black youngster with a patch of white on his chest, and a kitty who is practically purr-fect! He loves people, cats, dogs and children, has a GREAT sense of humor, is affectionate, entertaining, interactive and smart.

There is nothing NOT to love about this kitty who had a difficult start in life but has no interest in thinking about stuff like that - Onyx is a happy and loving cat, and refuses to look anywhere but forward, feeling confidant he will find a forever family who will appreciate and love every single, unique and wonderful thing about him.

BABY

Baby.jpg

OK, so Baby, at three years of age, has not had a normal life so far. She was born into a hoarding situation and until now, never had the attention she always craved, but if you run your finger along the underside of her chin, and whisper sweet nothings in her ear, Baby will suddenly roll, purr and then headbutt your hand begging for more love.

An absolutely beautiful tabby and white cat who is just dying for affection and the opportunity to find out what a real home is like, Baby is a cat who has never experienced any of this before now, and is so ready and willing to try out a real family.

ASHLEY

ashley.jpg

Ashley is a little sad having just been given up by her family due to allergies. But Ashley is oh so sweet, and young enough to get on with the rest of her life.

A beautiful grey tabby, Ashley likes running water, people, and affection, not necessarily in that order! Cheerful, loving and loyal, she's never lived with another cat so might be happy to be your one and only.

SOCKS

Socks.jpg

Socks is a very friendly and affectionate female youngster who found herself outside on her own. Holding her own against a colony of feral cats, this pretty tabby and white girl would make a perfect only cat.

Socks is a confident and happy girl who does not care one bit she was abandoned and is only looking forward to a home of her own. Or maybe she does care she was abandoned, but she isn't going to let you know that she is anything but OK. If you are only looking for one, please adopt Socks, so she knows she really is OK!

RAPHAEL

Raphael1.jpg

Friends of Felines has a new and special friend named Raphael. A large, gentle and exotically marked gray and cream tabby, possibly even a Bengal mix, Raphael's a quiet, well behaved cat who likes to be admired and touched, which he certainly deserves.

Abandoned to the outside as he fought off an infection, he has only a slight scaring in his lungs to show for his ordeal. Raphael may never run a marathon, but he never really wanted to! With a huge appetite for food, head scratches and companionship; this handsome, mellow and rather sad big boy is looking for his forever best friend. Could that be you?

HOLLY & HEATHER

holly.jpgheather.jpg

Friends of Felines and Holly are proudly showing off Holly's special zig zag markings while Heather, her best friend and sister, is stretched out and soaking up the sun - cats are the original solar panels!

These two girls were found abandoned in the woods of North Stamford, attempting to make friends with anyone who would pay attention to them, including a deer, a duckling and then, thankfully, a kind human who thought they might need help and called FOF.

Totally tame and completely checked out by a vet, these two young and beautiful sisters are attached at the hip and are now looking for a real home to call their own, together. We are just getting to know them and are so far delighted to have them as part of the FOF family, and are mystified and impressed that in spite of, or maybe because of their naive and optimistic outlook on life, they survived their ordeal.

Cheerful, loving, fun and not at all concerned for their own welfare, these two girls know they will make some lucky family happy - could it be yours?

MAY

may2.jpg

May is a young female who once lived inside with a family. This past winter, her family left this pretty little girl outside in frigid temperatures; in a place where cats are unwelcome and feeding strays is not allowed.

She got through the winter; but when May gave birth to four kittens in the spring, she found the hostility of her human neighbors to be brutal. Taunted, stoned and drenched with water, May successfully hid her family until her growing kittens needed more nourishment. That’s when May got her first lucky break and met Pedro, who began sneaking food to the family, then asked FOF for help.

Thanks in part to the cooperation of Stamford Animal Care and Control, May and her kittens found safety, shelter and – when May was discovered to have a postpartum infection – the emergency medical care she needed.

Now, May comes out of her shell more and more each day and her foster home is thrilled. They say she is beautiful, playful, loves to be pet and when they rub her belly, she purrs!

May is a good and deserving young girl who is exceeding the hopes we had for her when we took her in by leaps and bounds. May is adoptable to a quiet and patient home. This smart kitty is way ahead of us!

LUNA (LOU)

Luna-Midnights-bro.jpg

This kitty's given name is Luna, but we call him Lou, because he is SUCH a guy! A very handsome, three-year-old tabby, Lou was given up by his family due to divorce and for 6 months, his world was in such turmoil, he was a very difficult and fractious kitty and FOF had no idea what to do to help him feel better. And then the clouds suddenly parted and this wonderful, emotional and sensitive kitty began touching his foster mom's face gently with his paw, hugging her neck, and gently purring. Now he is just quietly lonely and asking for more hugs.

The best thing to happen to this great and loving tabby is to have a home of his own, but he would also be happy to be fostered by a family who either has no other pets, or at least has a spare room to lend him, along with some time and attention to help him heal so he can get on with his life, which we expect will be wonderful. Might you be the one to give Lou the hand he needs?

MIKO

miko.jpg

Meet Miko, an adorable kitten with a silver tabby coat, green eyes and white paws. This boy was found "hunting" through garbage cans for something he could eat and when he came up with nothing, sat down and meowed loudly and pathetically until FOF scooped him up! Gentle, yet playful, Miko's all checked out by his vet and is ready for his very own home.

ALLIE

allie_cal.jpg

A Cinderella of sorts, Allie had a bit of a rough start, but this gorgeously marked calico youngster could have been named Serendipity, her life took so many right turns.

A kindness here, a kindness there, a coincidence or two...and here she is. Instead of living on the streets with kittens, she's now a very clean, healthy and happy young lady ready for a home of her own.

Affectionate, beautiful, young - Allie would prefer to be an only cat, so if you can just stop at one, or have no choice in the matter, she just might be the princess you've been waiting for.

LUNA

Lunamama.jpg

Luna has had quite a journey. She went from a North Carolina shelter to a local caretaker. The caretaker was not ready for the responsibility of a pregnant cat and kittens, so Luna went to a foster home.

Luna is a gentle girl who craves brushings and head-to-toe pet sessions. She's a petite young lady with a very pretty face and markings. Luna is currently being fostered with calm dogs and other cats and is comfortable in their company.

Ready to stop moving around, Luna is looking for her forever home.

DOMINO

domino.jpg

A happy and handsome young male, Domino's obviously named for his striking black-on-white markings, and his round, bottle green eyes and teddy bear build make him a completely adorable cat.

Not so long ago, Domino's home was a shed, his meals were scraps and his playground was covered in broken glass, but not anymore! A little shy with strangers, Domino's laid back personality and curious nature will soon win out - and win you over. He's good with other cats and great with a ping pong ball!

BERT

bert.jpg
A totally beautiful, cheerful, all-gray youngster, Bert is a lovable goofball. Call his name and not only does he come, he tells you he's arrived with a quiet "Ow" and an inquisitive tilt of his head.

He chatters happily at birds he sees out the window, and is excited to share that experience with you, pressing his face against yours, expecting you to chatter along with him.

A purr-machine without a stop button, Bert loves to cuddle and share everything but his food, which he still thinks will go away if he takes his head out of his bowl.

Bert has a slight neurological quirk - possibly caused by a trauma to his head - that keeps his left eye from closing. Blink at Bert, and he winks back with one eye! All Bert needs is a drop or two of drugstore "artificial tears" a day to make him right. You will never meet a cat who is so easy medicate - he seems to think you are picking him up to hug him, so he just purrs then runs off to play!

Bert is one of our favorites, looking for a home bursting with the same love and optimism he has.

J.J.

JJhavingfun2.jpg
My name is J.J. - but sometimes my foster home calls me "Hacker", whatever that means!

I'm 2-yrs-old, very handsome, sometimes shy, sometimes a cut-up, sometimes mushy. My favorite treat is scrambled eggs and I love to hunt whole loaves of bread - the bigger the loaf, the better.

I'm great with kittens and other cats, ping-pong balls, and snuggling with humans in the morning.

I'm complicated, but I'm fun!

MIGUEL

Miguel2.jpg

Another photo of playful Miguel!

MIGUEL

Miguel1.jpg

A grey and white tuxedo, Miguel is almost two years old and a little goofy. He is very friendly, but not a lap cat. He is extremely playful and needs someone who also wants to play.
